We’re always looking to recruit new members. Our lab is made up of people with backgrounds in animal behaviour, cognition, whole-organism physiology, locomotor performance, parasitology, limnology, ecology and, of course, fishes. Although I will help out with salaries and tuition where I can, perspective members are encouraged to apply for external funding to support themselves during their time in Canada.

Exceptional international candidates may be competitive for Vanier Scholarships (PhD; or Banting Fellowships (Post-doc; from NSERC, or the Merit Scholarship program (PhD, Post-Doc, Short-term research trips; from FRQNT. The FRQNT also often has special awards for applicants from partner countries, so it’s worth having a look to see whether you are eligible based on nationality (At the moment, students and/or postdocs from Brazil, China, India, Israel, Mexico and Belgium are prioritized).
